Obama Forums

Join us for a series of forums on Obama’s policies. The goal for these forums is to have community discussions of issues, guided by a facilitator with comments from resource people who will also be available to provide information. The ideas generated at these forums may be written up and sent to the Obama team for consideration on their “Organizing for Obama” website.

Organized by Wright State University faculty member Jeanne Ballantine, and co-sponsored by Nonstop Liberal Arts Institute, each forum will be up to 1 ½ hours. The format will include a facilitator to introduce the topic and moderate discussion, brief comments by the resource people, and open discussion with a recorder to take down ideas. This will be followed by a small group of volunteers who wish to sift through the ideas and present those that seem to represent the thoughts of many in the group. They will be sent to the Obama website under the title: Yellow Springs Forums. Free and open to the public.
